The house was built around the pool – as you walk up the front steps to the front door, you can overlook the whole area. Lap pools are traditionally long, elegant pools with a built in bench for rest; this particular orientation of the pool finished with a sweeping entertaining area.

This was a special build pool, the owners wanted to keep the tree on the right of the photograph; they also have small children and like to entertain. The solution was to build a rectangular pool, inverted square corner around the tree plus a 2m wading/bench area so the kids can play and enjoy the pool safely.
